Job Board

A community in a niche field wanted a job board where employers could reach candidates who were hard to find on general platforms. Off-the-shelf job board software was expensive, hard to customize, and poorly indexed by search engines, which mattered because most candidates would arrive from search.

I built the job board on Next.js with TypeScript and PostgreSQL. Employers post and manage listings, candidates search and filter by role, location, and type and apply directly on the site, and an admin area handles moderation and featured listings. Pages are server-rendered with structured data so every listing is fast and indexable.

Listings started appearing in search results shortly after posting, which brought candidates without paid promotion, and employers got applications from exactly the audience they were looking for. The board runs with minimal moderation effort thanks to the admin tooling.
